Paul puts it like this: "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18
We all reflect the Lord's glory: the essence of who God is; an accurate representation of who God is. And, we are being changed into more and more of the essence of who God is; the representation of who God is. We are and we are being made into the glory of God. That goes right along with Hebrews 10:14, "by one sacrifice He has made holy, those who are being made holy." We are and we will be all at the same time.
So what needs to change in order for me to be transformed into the full representation of God in His glory? My soul: my mind, which changes my emotions and my will. How do we change our mind? We seek truth, we are revealed truth through the Word, and then we believe that truth enough to act upon it no matter how we feel because we have faith in the God of this truth. As we walk in that truth by faith, it becomes a part of who we are and we see it changing us from the inside out.
This season, as you see the changed leaves, may you be encouraged to allow God to change you into more and more of His likeness.
