Have you ever been in a crowd of people and still felt alone? Have you ever been thrust into a new place, a new environment, and become frustrated or confused as to why you are there? Maybe a health issue, a relational battle, a death, a move, or a job loss has thrust you into a new place that you did not expect?
I believe that God allows these things to come to pass in our lives for one main purpose: to have us all to Himself. He loves us so much and He knows that we will try to live life apart from Him, but can't. He has to get us to a place where all we have is Him, before He can show us His love and love us back into the relationship with Him that we were created and destined for.
Hosea 2: 6-7 puts it like this, "Therefore, I will block her path with thornbushes; I will wall her in so that she cannot find her way. She will chase after other lovers but not catch them; she will look to them but not find them. Then she will say, 'I will go back to my Husband as at first, for then I was better off than now.'"
God will thwart all efforts we make to try to find life apart from Him.
If you find yourself in a new place and/or find yourself alone, may you know with confidence that God is jiust wanting you all to Himself, so that He can love you. Rest in that today and sit with Him a while.
